In a multicultural environment where organizations are amalgams of cultures, values and beliefs, where individuals with different backgrounds cohabit day by day, the Human Resources (HR) department plays a crucial role in business management. In recent years, the HR department has been set as one of the main strategic areas in organizations. Companies have move from a hard approach about HR to a soft approach where the crucial element is the employee. Fields such as corporate social responsibility, coaching and leadership came to light with the purpose of making the organizational change more dynamic and to manage organizational diversity, getting therefore environments and organizations with employees that are more satisfied, committed, motivated and identified with the organization. Consequently, organizations currently need trained HR professionals with a generalist vision focused on the employee. Professionals who are not only knowledgeable about the typical function of HR such as recruitment, selection, training or compensation but also that master topics such as internal communication, corporate social responsibility, diversity management, leadership or coaching. The new HR employees need to keep in mind the following statement: employees are not machines they are people, and should be able to communicate this idea along the organization
